Back to the trusty red car

February 22, 2018 6:30 am

A while back, my dear wife Karen suffered what we of a certain generation call a fender bender.

She stopped in her trusty Mazda, and the person following her did not.

The car was still driveable, but there was some dings and dents involved. The insurance company told her what to do, appointments were made and …

A week with this.

… she ended up driving a gray version, 2017, of her same model as a loaner from the Mazda place that’s always been nice to us since she’s purchased her last two vehicles there.

For a week, she tooled around town in the new model. We both decided that we like her 2015 edition better.

Sweet red ride.

And so we were happy to pick up her trusty vehicle, repaired, with an oil change and tires rotated and a new battery and with a new inspection sticker on the windshield. Oh, they washed it for her as well.

  1. I love a dealership that washes the cars when they are services. Sadly, I no longer have that.
