Chinese trampoline gold medal winner Dong Dong. (From WikiPedia)
With the eyes of the world getting ready to shift to Rio for the Summer Olympics, past performances in the games were a natural subject for my monthly contribution to the Blog of Funny Names.
A good search of gold medal winners led me to the Chinese gymnastics team. The trampoline event, in fact, were a certain gentleman managed to medal in the 2008 and 2012 competitions.
His name was so good his parents gave it to him twice.
Of course, I’m being an American uneducated in another culture’s ways.
