Stuck in the corner.
Bird-nesting season has reached our side alcove, my dear wife Karen and I notice during our weekday late afternoon wind-downs on the futon.
It’s a robin, we’ve been able to spot.
We can’t cede the alcove to the birds, though, and mama takes flight often when we open and close the noisy screen door just feet from the nest. She’s always returning, though.
We also wonder about the effect when that light comes on by sensor during evening hours.

Aww, what a sweet thing to have right at your door. I just saw a video the other day where a mama bird made a nest on someone’s front door wreath, so they had to use only their back door until the eggs hatched. She said it’s supposed to be a sign of pending good luck if a bird nests at your front door. I don’t know about that, but it sure is a miracle to witness. I hope you’ll keep up posted (as if I didn’t already know you would). 🙂 THANK YOU for sharing, Mark! ❤

Be careful if light stays on and gets hot.
Many years ago a friend left our light on by accident where there was a nest. The nest caught on fire. Thank goodness we were home.

I’ll keep an eye out, Nance. The light is on motion sensor and usually only goes on when Ellie goes out to do her thing.
