I still don’t know if this hardy stand of Black-Eyed Susans grow on our lawn or our neighbor’s.
Right on the line, they are.
No matter, really.
Beautiful they are.
And on the day the blooms emerged, when night fell, my dear wife Karen and I heard the buzz of the cicadas when we let our cherished rescue mutt out for her final backyard business. This has been a whirlwind for sure.
Black Eyed Susan’s make for beautiful bouquets! I love yours!

They’re beautiful! I’ve been so enjoying my Raspberry Wine bee balm. And so have the bees:).

Cicadas already, but I guess that’s right. Did I tell you that Oliva pointed out the falling leaves on a recent walk? That’s when it hit me, July is just about over. Take good care Mark!

Yes, let them grow on the border, no hassles! And it did sound lovely that first notice of the season.
