Just before the light

Even working from home, I rise before the sun.

No matter that I cut driving time out of my schedule, trim the making-of-the-lunch from my routine.

Waiting.

So I grabbed the iPad Pro and went out back with our cherished rescue mutt Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle to check out the backyard mood before we greet our sunrise.

Awaiting some movement.

It seems neighbors may be stirring some, too, more than a half-hour before 7 a.m.

Not yet.

The Town Offices across the way, not yet.

  1. You’re a better person than I am, Mark. Since I now have the opportunity to sleep in a bit, I do. I guess being unemployed does have a few perks. Sleeping a little later also saves on lighting expenses, heating expenses (we keep the heat low overnight), and food expenses (can’t eat while sleeping). Still, I think I’d rather be working than worrying. (PS – I enjoy your video clips – it’s nice to see another blogger in the flesh, so to speak.)

    • I envy that sweet puppy Cody allows you the luxury of sleeping in, CM. Ellie B is a walking, barking alarm clock for me.
I’m glad you got the chance to see my FB clips over on the library page. Working at home has changed my pace for them, yes.
I hope we can all get back to the old normal sooner rather than later.

  2. Me too MBM. There’s something about being able to go outside in the morning, when it’s still dark, and I don’t have to leave…..it feels good. Even though I’m working from home that time is freed up to feel a little more appreciative of what’s out there.
