The other day I was reading my friend Ann Koplow’s blog and a photo jumped out at me.
I’m pretty sure that one of her workplace mates had put a sign up that that Judgement.
My brain couldn’t help but scream at the e in the middle.
Once an editor, always an editor.
My library colleague Edina even game me the little sign pictured above for my desk.
Please do not poke me about any mistakes found in this blog. Every writer needs an editor, and we here in WordPress Bloggyville are on our own.
I love it💜💜

I have to wonder if the “silently” part is because you work in a library, and if you were out on the street if your corrections would be more vocal. 😉

Libraries are no longer shush palaces, Rachel. People have quiet conversations and loud meetings, even. We do keep a quiet section, though.

Wow! At my local library, they don’t even have books anymore. It’s all digital lending, but they have a lot of media you can borrow as well as computers to use and a new coffee shop and meeting rooms, and an awesome new city history room. But no books.

Interesting. We have all that other stuff you mention PLUS books, Rachel.

I KNOW, I KNOW! I make plenty of mistakes, but the number of people who like judgement and cancelled gets to me. Not like “your welcome” gets to me because it’s not right in an alternative way, but still…

Your welcome is not welcome in any form, you are right about that, Joey. I think the texting shortcuts have led to abandonment of the right stuff all the way around.

Hey, Mark! I just left a comment that didn’t appear here. Sometimes I just can’t help myself in making sure my comments get through. Thanks for this post and I hope you know you are not alone. ❤

Imagine my surprise at finding me here in your blog today, Mark. We all need editors and THANK YOU for spelling my name correctly and for everything you share.
Love,
Ann
P.S. By the way, I think you wrote “game” when you meant “gave.”
P.P.S. Sometimes I can’t help myself.

I like this glimpse into your work space. The sign is hilarious! What’s the guitar league about? And is that a book with your name on it? Pardon my curiosity!

OK, I shall explain my work shelf, Sandra.
The Guitar League is an appreciation plaque the organization gave me while I was writing for the big daily. My name graces the cover of the Syracuse University sports book I co-wrote with my great friend Mike Waters.
Both are pride placements …
