There was a jetty out there near Dirty Al’s, and the five of us were going to walk out on it.
No matter that the temperature was (again) about 100 F.
We would rock this venture.
Religious statues and soaring birds would not stop us.
Blue water and a breeze beckoned.
An extremely friendly pelican greeted all who passed.
Elisabeth, George and Scott talked with the pelican. My dear wife Karen, meanwhile, had already retreated and can be seen wading in the Gulf. To the right, miles down, is the beach where we swam down the block from our rental house. Very sweet, indeed.
Beautiful day for exploring and meeting new friends, feathers and all.
