A dog walker on the beach early on gave me the name of a good spot to catch a glorious South Padre Beach sunset.
The whole family reunion gang was in.
Laguna Bob’s did not have enough space.
Louie’s Backyard said certainly to our request for a table for 14.
Maybe it was because one of us had his own chair.
One table down, the big party had a table cloth. We did not. No problem for any of us. The other party looked like they might be celebrating a wedding rehearsal. We were awaiting the arrival of my brother-in-law Scott any minute and the impending sunset. What a great spot.
Both the sunset and Scott’s emergence to the reunion made everybody happy.
Louie’s ambiance and seafood buffet were big hits. My shrimp Alfredo sure was good, too.
Vacay at its best!

The spread they put out for the seafood buffet was real impressive, Kimi. George ate plenty of shrimp and crab legs. I stuck to the one plate of shrimp Alfredo, but that did allow me to graze on the salad half of the buffet, and that too was filling enough.

We had a few moments of suspense before Louie’s said sure thing to our large number, Beth, but it sure turned out to be a great place for dinner and the setting of the sun both.
