My mind is the thing that raced when I say this sign during a break walk from my work at the library.
Why are they calling the runners for this event turkeys?
Oh, wait. Thanksgiving is approaching!

we did a turkey trot years ago and my son was in the younger division “fun run” part and is was misrable cos it was so cold – his lungs hurt a little – we then did the 5k and it was fun – but somehow we never ran them after that

Yes – so cold – but also a school fundraiser and so that was fun – they are usually for good causes eh?

We have “Turkey Shoot” events here. It’s target shooting, but for years, I was sure they were shooting the birds ! š¦

I was looking for a Turkey Trot near me but abandoned the search. Now I am contemplating Little Falls’ Reindeer Run in December.

Are turkeys involved in this trot at all? Because that would be entertaining, watching the runners dodge turkeys who had no particular destination in mind.
