Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle and I came across another eccentric tree during a recent stroll around our Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville.
First we noticed the tree itself. Worse for wear, for sure. Seen better days. Victim of something that led it to a big blade of some sort.
Then the face really popped out at me.
Frightening, this one.
Are tree faces a thing I don’t know about?
Wow! I would be scared too, it looks like an evil talisman.

I’ve seen all manners of tree faces for sale on the interwebz! That is a bit of a creepy one, most of them are very whimsical in nature.

Hi Mark!!!! It reminds me of the tree in Poltergeist, the first movie, the tree outside the boy’s room. That face is creepy!!!!

It does look right out of a horror movie, S.D. Good to see you today.

I love it! I love trees, and dead ones have a special fascination for me. I’m dying for it to get warm enough to take a walk around here again! Maybe I’ll walk with my tablet and get a few shots of trees. When the temperature creeps back above 20 degrees anyways.
