Over at the Little Bitty in the Syracuse city neighborhood of Eastwood, we had had Norwood Field. You probably got tired of hearing about Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle and I circling the couple of blocks there during our many walks, in fact.
And now in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville, we have a park that’s even closer to A Bitty Better.
It’s the lawn behind the Salina Town Hall, and it’s very close to our house.
It’s got a fence around it, and playground equipment for children in one corner.
I don’t think it’s a sports field. I haven’t heard any sports whistles or cheering as we used to from Norwood Field when the Eastwood Bears Pop Warner teams would play or even practice.
It might not be quite as expansive as the Eastwood park. But it’s got some size to it. Ellie B seems to approve as we have walked past.
I’ll keep you posted if I see any games going on.
What do you think the purpose of this space is for, primarily? What would you do with if if you lived close by? In your wildest imagination now?
Lovely place 🙂

Really nice, useable space! Wonder if it’s a practice field for soccer?

It does at that, Kathryn Grace. I will see if anybody uses it for that fun activity. ❤

Looks like a public area to me , if there is a gate go in and let Ellie B have a good run! Remember to pick up after her then no one can complain!😊 I know Ruby would love it!!

There’s only a fence around the little playground area with kids equipment, Willow. Otherwise, big and open field. And I always carry around bags to pick up after Ellie B, of course.

Even if it sounds boring, Mark: I’d love this space green as it is, disturbed by a lawnmower only twice a year.

It is quite lovely, Karen, though mowed more often than that in the two months since we moved in. I took this photo a few weeks ago, and had to post it before a big snow arrives today. I fear we won’t see the green for awhile after this.

If it’s use was for sports, they probably just continued tending to that space. It is nicer to see it covered in snow that having to face a construction site, Mark.
