The back before I took out the red pusher mid-week was, shall I say, a bit tangled.
Full frontal growth.
The front wasn’t as bad, but it’s all relative.
Now, for the after-effect.
Even Ellie B approves.
Dogamous Pyle was in the before shot, too. No, just joshing.
The trees are looking good.
Up front, the peony, Cherry Cherry, the hourglass garden and the flowering Robinson crabapple are all coming around quite nicely in a row.
Bring on May.
Have you made your first cut of the season yet? How long do you let the grass get? How are your plants and trees doing?

Lovely lawn 🙂 Spring tends to sneak up on us. We cheat and hire a guy to come do the first round. With all the rain, the grass grows thick and heavy in April and that turns an hour’s job into almost three. Our guy came out last weekend to mow and weed-whack and I’m grateful. He took it down pretty far in the front. We enjoyed the yard on all the clear evenings we had last week. The Mister probably won’t mow until next weekend, and that’s okay. By then, it will only be the back that’s high.
The guy will come back a few times a year, usually at least mid-July and the last mow of the season are his.

You strategize very well, Joey, you and the Mister. If the Little Bitty’s yard was any bigger, the back’s legnth would have choked me pretty good on Mow One, indeed. 😮

I started mowing a month ago. This spring the rainy days have somehow coincided with my days off. At the moment hiring a goat seems a good idea.
