While shopping for other things as our Cape Cod pre-tourist-rush June week in the Happy Cottage wound down, my dear wife Karen and I had to pull down one more newbie to sit next to the Dark Horse Cab Sav that I brought from home.
So we threw it in with the bag of Blue Buffalo and proceeded to the Agway checkout counter.
Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle of course wanted to check out the latest label.
These doggie toy makers are coming up with some wild idea to hook we owners, aren’t they?
What’s the oddest or most unique pet toy you’ve ever seen or purchased? Would your pet go for the gusto? Red, white or poly?
That’s too funny! It looks so real, too! 🙂

Never, MBC. Love the dog too much for that!

THAT I knew…..but that’s what I get for reading at 5 25 am ish. Blurry eyes and foggy brain do not equal great comprehension! 🙂

I know, and you were joking with me as well, MBC. 🙂 Pretty good one for that early, I’d say. ❤

Well if I manage to crack a good joke that early, then I am doing well! (Because I’m not great at joke telling!!) 🙂

If it made noise perhaps Ellie B. would like the toy. We used to mainly choose those twisted rope pulls or flip chips to keep Toby busy while company were over. I just wanted to use my phone to text a response to your 2 most recent posts. Take care and I enjoyed hearing about your vacation!

Thank you, Robin. Yes, it squeaks, and Ellie B loves the noise. ❤

Adorable! Nothing plushy or squeaky lives long with Sadie. She loves her Kong tennis balls. There’s one Kong bone thing she likes, too. Big Blue. Big Blue is buried in the backyard somewhere and she digs it up when she wants to. I’ve also noticed she’ll play with the tiny cat toys if the kitten plays with them in her spot. She’ll throw them up and she and the kitten will race to them and play bow. It’s quite cute.
I can’t think of any really expensive pet toys…except to say the cute and fluffy $12 ones last for about 10 minutes, which makes them expensive 😉

I love the concept of her leading the way with the kitty, Joey. Hooray for you, Sadie, throwin the kitty toy up for both of you!

Yes! It is funny. I doubt my dog or past dogs would have played with it.

Great! It doesn’t look like a toy dogs would play with. It doesn’t look like a ball. lol

That’s pretty cool! My little Bria only plays with a rag that use to be a stuffed racoon. It is her “baby.” She will not touch anything else. I have tried getting her new stuffed animals and she will not accept them. It has to be her rag of a “baby.” (It’s 13 years old haha).

Oh how I love those soulful eyes, kind of looking at you like, “really? you expect me to play with this?” One of our dogs had no need for toys, just tennis balls. The other could be heard for miles constantly squeaking the life out of a plush duck- it was like a pacifier for him. He would carry it with him wherever he went. Quite a sight 😉

Ellie B is like your other, Lisa. She’ll squeak it until somehow she figures out how to crack the rubber and pull the squeak out of it!

My Golden Retriever loves bottle caps and rocks. Those are his favorite toys. If I buy him stuffed toys, he simply disembowels them, leaving the stuffing strewn around the house. My Great Dane (from Russian descent) loves Vodka ice cubes. My husband has to be very careful about leaving his cocktail unattended.

Your Great Dane is pretty cool in my book, SD. Does it get tipsy from the Vodka Cubes? BTW, Ellie B disembowels plushy toys, too. 😦

Hard to say with our Great Dane, whether or not he gets tipsy, considering his baseline norm is a little whacked – hard to see a discernible difference before or after vodka ice cubes.

No – every time he comes out the patio in the morning, it is like a brand new world. He isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Hmm, I’ve heard they were making doggie wine, but I’ve never actually seen a bottle of it. Is it beef flavored? (non-alcoholic, though, right?)

This is actually just a squeeze toy made to look like a wine bottle, CM. I wouldn’t think of buying doggie wine for Ellie B. Yet. 🙂
