As Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle and I worked our way back toward the Little Bitty in the Syracuse city neighborhood of Eastwood this half-and-half spring Sunday afternoon, we couldn’t help but note the sky above.
April prepares to give itself up to May, and the see and the saw of this dance was somewhere in the middle of the fulcrum today. Temperature, 50s F. Grass, greening. Trees, some budding, others bare. Sky, blue and gray in some portions, gray and blue on others.
Enjoy the angles in this gallery surrounding our blue house. We certainly did.

Is it totally one way or another where you live today, or a half-and-half day? Are you seeing more spring or more summer of late? Which photo is your favorite, and why?
I love EVERY SINGLE ONE of those photos, Mark! And here, it’s a mid-August kind of day. Every day is a mid-August kind of day. Ugh!

Mark, you write about everyday things every day, but you awe us when we round a corner of your homey neighborhood and encounter one of these Easter eggs of beauty you’ve tucked there for us.

Love the photos. We call those days “sun breaks”. We are in the 70’s today and the low 50’s tomorrow. Isn’t variety the spice of spring? Or is that the price of spring? 🙂

I was talking about your pretty photos. 🙂 I almost hate to say we have had a beautiful long Spring. But yes we do not have enough rain. So we are all cutting back on watering. We let our front yard lawn go. We want to redo the landscaping with some drought tolerant stuff. But it is expensive to get landscaping done. So it is still on the drawing board. I was out front digging up a ton of weeds today. I’m pooped. Gonna chill now. 🙂

Thanks for the kind words about my photos, Deborah. Sorry to hear you have to let your front lawn go because of the drought. That stinks. You’ll come up with a good plan. I have faith in you. … And weeding is a tough job. Take a rest.

I was sad there were some cold skies over the weekend, for my younger brother and grandson’s Boy Scout long hike in the rain, long two nights in the cold. but they survived! I like the sunny blue skies with the white cotton-like, billowy clouds you captured, Mark!!

This is what I told Diana Schwenk that I missed about Syracuse – the gray skies. Lovely blue skies in your photos, too. I think I might enjoy the cooler temps you’re experiencing. In our neck of the woods, it’s partly cloudy and looks like it might rain, 43 percent humidity and 93 degrees F. In other words: HOT. 😉

Beautiful clouds. We had a butt-kicker of a storm yesterday. The afternoon grew black, the winds howled! Rain poured! We had 60 mph winds ripping at the trees. I thought my young crepe myrtle tree was going to break in two. All is well. ❤

It’s funny because here in L.A. it’s like the seasons are backwards. Spring is usually chilly and it’s always cloudy in the morning and then warms up in the afternoon. Makes it very difficult to decide what to wear!
